Mark Allen Grainger is an ordinary guy with an unordinary drive to understand how people work and live together. This give him a unique and impressive knack of focusing a team’s energy and effort toward one specific outcome.... to boost profits using teamwork as your competitive advantage.
Mark believes that Creative Team Synergy with focused talent and polished business skills is the only remaining and relevant competitive advantage left in today’s business climate.
From Tampa Bay Florida to Anchorage Alaska Mark has worked with hundreds of business teams, increasing bottom line revenues by as much as 261%. By incorporating elements of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and Self-Actualization with the sociological and cultural elements of rituals, rites of passage and collective intelligence, executive teams are tapping into a deeper level of creativity and problem solving. When this “living systems” model is combined with the solid business strategy of Mark’s “13 Core Focal Points of High Performance Teams” you have a culture of enlightened, self-actualizing professionals that are hungry for results, strive to become the ultimate team player and moving in the same direction.
Mark says, “Employees have a secret desire to be business savvy and possess the business skills that create industry dominance. But that is very difficult to foster when most corporate executives are pathetic at running a simple team meeting. The first step to unleashing your team’s potential is knowing how to communicate constructively and efficiently as a group.”
Mark has worked with some of the corporate worlds most talked about icons. In 1999, Mark worked directly with author and wealth expert Robert Kiyosaki to promote his book "Rich Dad/Poor Dad", and was the opening speaker for one of Robert’s public seminars. In 2002 Mark was one of 10 hand picked protégé’s selected by “The Wizard of Ads” author Roy H. Williams to learn the intricacies of persuasion marketing.
As a lifelong student of people, Mark deepened his understanding of group dynamics first as a sociology major and then again in graduate school. Fascinated by his years of research on culture, anthropology, and associated dogmas, Mark got an “inside” look at the dynamics that shape behaviors and inspire motivation. Mark now uses this information to design corporate cultures with the innate ability to distill core values that boost profits and the related behaviors that sustain them. In his soon to be released book (Jan. 2006)”Ritual Builders: How to Manifest Team Loyalty, Prosperity, and Performance” Mark illustrates how profound human needs can be met by a corporate culture and that the blending of cultures in America is leaving the labor force in an identity crisis.
With the strong ability to profoundly touch businesses and their personnel with his authentic desire to make a difference, Mark also influences profits with his insights into business strategies. As an author, Certified Corporate Trainer, National Speaker's Association member, Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and Yoga instructor, Mark brings an eclectic flavor to Team Building and business consulting that works. He even inspired the Marriott Hotel to climb from the bottom 15% to the top 7% in customer service scores. An increase of 77% in less than 10 wks.
Growing up in Alaska shaped Mark’s perspective on business and life. Throughout his youth he watched the wonders of Mother Nature as she displayed her wisdom of cause and effect and executed her laws upon wildlife and the environment. Seeing the ultimate balance of nature has motivated Mark to study the natural processes that motivate people. These processes... the processes in our life that add meaning and purpose ... are missing from business. By uniquely adding these elements to the pursuit of profit, the magical dynamic of Team Synergy occurs... and with this Mark has proven to himself and his clients that anything is possible.
As a lover or nature Mark enjoys hiking, fishing, and camping with his wife Amy and his dog Buddy.
